Grillin’ and Chillin’

Want to be a Grillmaster? No problem! Come BBQ BBQ at Blackwater! You do the food, we’ll do the drinks. Click here for the BBQ Grill Rules and Conditions.

Reserve a grill for $5 plus a security deposit of $20. When you ask to use the grill, we’ll open a drink tab, and put a $20 dollar deposit on it. When everything is returned, the deposit will come off your tab, and won’t be charged. If the supplies are damaged or missing, we charge the deposit.

You’re welcome to bring your own meat. We’ll have some pre-packaged meats for sale, from a local partner. Or with advanced notice, we can arrange additional menu items (within reason of course!). You can call ahead to inquire or ask upon arrival: (443) 249-3123. We have charcoal, lighters, spatulas, grill brushes, etc. available for use.

Charcoal is provided for a small fee – we don’t want people using too much (and starting huge fires) so we portion it out. It will be ample to cook on, and easy to light. We’re not trying to make money off of you simply using the grills – we are trying not to lose money.

NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES ALLOWED – If you’re caught with outside drinks, you’ll be asked to leave and you will lose your deposit.
Fire is only allowed in the grill. Same rules apply as with outside beverages. If you start fires outside the grills, you’ll be asked to leave and lose your deposit.

Please follow the golden rule of grilling at Blackwater. Please clean your grill and space so that it may continue to be enjoyed by the next group.
We’re a craft spirits distillery and tavern, we need to make some money along the way or we won’t get to keep providing spirits or fun places to grill. The drinks tab helps with that.

This is the smoothest, best vodka I’ve ever had. It’s now the only one I drink. I drive from NY to MD once a year to stock up.
Highly recommended!!

Blackwater Distillery was awesome, a must do if you are in Maryland. Staff is so knowledgeable and walked us through the making of each vodka and rum. Brought our puppy and had an amazing time learning about the process, the use of all natural ingredients and the passion behind it all! Left with two bottles!!!

Let me say…

My significant other and I have done many stops on the Bourbon Trail. We love distillery tours and seeing how each place differs.

We were in Baltimore for a weekend in April and our last day was just a rainy mess. I was looking for anything to do and came across the Blackwater distillery… And it was open on a Sunday.

We showed up and spent nearly 2 hours there learning about their process, being bribed to come back and help bottle, and tasting all their wonderful small batch liquors. We ended up buying Sloop Betty and Coffee Rum… And then a bunch of gear. I wear that hoodie every work weekend, when I wish I was drinking instead.

The guy working that day was. Incredibly knowledgeable and loves his job.

If we are ever back in the area, hopefully we will get to stop by the new place!
